About Us

SUFFOLK COUNTY FIRE SAFETY EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION

The Suffolk County Fire Safety Educator’s Association began as meetings in local diners in 1983 by a handful of dedicated fire marshals and fire safety educators. Sadly, at least three of those people have passed on — John Coen, Ron Stanger, Eric Schnall. On July 27, 1984, the Association was officially incorporated.

We are a non-profit that depends on its’ membership and are always looking for new members with fresh ideas — whether you’re a school teacher, fire prevention educator, fire marshal, EMT, nurse, firefighter — the message is the same.

We meet 8 times a year — January, March, April, May, August, September, October and November or December depending on how holidays fall. Check our calender page for meetings and related activities!
